Project Description
Teton has been awarded the OBSL GC-1&2 Packages for Motiva Enterprises Crude Expansion Project at their Port Arthur, Texas refinery. Motiva Enterprises, LLC is a joint venture formed in 1998 between Saudi Refining, Inc. and Shell. Motiva operates primarily in the eastern and southern United States. Its operations include three refineries with a combined capacity of 740,000 barrels per day. The Crude Expansion Project (CEP) will increase current capacity at the Port Arthur Refinery from 275,000 barrels to day to more than 600,000 barrels per day in 2011, making it the largest refinery in the U.S. and one of the top 10 in the world. The OSBL packages are the portion of the project that connects the existing plant to the new hydrocarbon processing units and provides additional infrastructure capacity for the increase in production. Work associated with these packages includes the construction of a new raw water treatment facility, additions to the existing effluent treatment system, installation of a new fuel gas recovery system, installation of 3 new off gas flares, interconnection of new crude feed and sour water tankage, and interconnection of new product export and tankage facilities.
