This project involved the construction of a new tank farm and the demolition of existing facilities. Considerable work was performed within the existing refinery to decommission existing services and re-route the flow of hydrocarbons to and from the new tank farm. The scope of work included the erection of eight large storage tanks complete with 95,000 meters of piping, 1000 concrete piles, 1600 tonnes of structural steel, and 2700 cubic meters of concrete. Also included was the demolition of 16 existing tanks and associated equipment to prepare the site for a future expansion.
