SR-45 (US-41) Roadway Reconstruction

The improvement under this contract consists of reconstructing SR-45 from SR-72 northerly 2.68 miles to Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota. Included in this contract is the construction of three cast-in-place flat slab concrete bridges built with the "Top-Down" construction method working off of a temporary work trestle. Structure work also included concrete bulkhead work and bridge demolition. The roadway work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment and stabilization, base course, asphalt, drainage structures, miscellaneous concrete, riprap, fencing, guardrail, sodding, lighting, signing, signalization, and pavement markings.
